Gartner Announces Project Portfolio Management Europe Event for 3-5 December in Costa del Sol, Spain
Leading IT Companies to Present New Breed of Web-Based Project Management Solutions to Europe?s Top Enterprises
Egham, UK, September 24, 2003 Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB), announced the first major event for the European marketplace that will focus on the latest Web-based applications for optimizing business processes around the management and delivery of IT services in project-intensive environments.
Project Portfolio Management Europe will be held 3-5 December at the Hotel Torrequebrada in Costa Del Sol, Spain. It builds on the momentum of the inaugural Project Portfolio Management event successfully held in San Francisco in July. The European event will feature leading technology vendors presenting project portfolio management (PPM) solutions to technology and business decision makers from Europe's IT professional services firms, internal IT departments, embedded services departments and other service-driven companies. Participation in PPM Summit Europe is by exclusive invitation available only to qualified executives who are responsible for selection or implementation of PPM solutions within their organizations.
"More project-intensive enterprises in Europe - in such key verticals as new product development and professional services, and in IT organizations across verticals - are evaluating and implementing software solutions to help manage key projects and skilled resources," said Matt Light, research director, Gartner. "That's why Europe is a major PPM marketplace where vendors are positioning themselves for the next round of growth."
Project Portfolio Management Europe will feature a business-intensive agenda designed to facilitate in-depth discussions between vendors and IT executives. Included will be private boardroom appointments, the opportunity for vendors to demonstrate real-time solutions in the PPM Pavilion, and high-end networking events. Senior Gartner analysts will spearhead the content segment of the program, providing commentary and analysis on the latest trends and drivers surfacing in the PPM market.
