| Gartner Accepting Nominations for Its Semiannual CRM Excellence Award |
| Winners to Be Announced at Gartner's CRM Summit March 6, 2002 |
STAMFORD, CONN., December 19, 2001 -- Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) is accepting nominations through February 3, 2002 for its CRM Excellence Award. Nominations will be accepted via an online entry form from Gartner clients and nonclients who demonstrate excellence in the area of CRM.
Two awards will be presented during the closing ceremonies at Gartner's CRM Summit Spring 2002, which will be held March 4-6 in Chicago. One award will be for small to midsize enterprises with annual revenue of up to $500 million and up to 1,000 employees. The other award will be for large enterprises with annual revenue greater than $500 million and more than 1,000 employees.
"Less than 10 percent of enterprises have a clear understanding of their customers, which is critical for achieving profitable customer loyalty," said Claudio Marcus, research director for Gartner. "This prestigious award is presented to enterprises that are leaders in this space and have arrived at CRM maturity by having a complete understanding of their customer's needs, which ultimately translates into revenue, optimized profitability and increased customer satisfaction."
A four-person review team of Gartner analysts will evaluate and rate each entry based on how the participants demonstrate excellence in their CRM initiatives. The participants are judged on eight key characteristics: CRM vision, CRM strategy, consistent valued-customer experience, organizational collaboration, CRM processes, CRM information, CRM technology and CRM metrics.
In addition to the recognition, recipients will be honored with a donation, made in their name, to their choice of one of several designated charities.
This is Gartner's second CRM Excellence Award. The recipient of the first CRM Excellence Award was Boise Cascade Office Products.
